This is the latest project in the series of Spring Harvest albums aimed at giving worship music a new edge using styles that reflect the current chart music scene. This year there are two contemporary worship albums produced by Spring Harvest ('R:age' being the other one) and this certainly focuses on the pop scene. There are re-workings of well known worship songs such as "My Jesus, My Lifeline", Matt Redman's "Send Revival" and one of the best versions of "Heart Of Worship" available. A new and more upbeat version of the Delirious? track "Hands Of Kindness" creates a successful new sound while still keeping the acoustic feel. But the album is worth buying if only for the superb version of "History Maker" which is given a dance re-mix without losing the value of the original; this track would not be out of place in the club scene. Tracks such as "Heavenly Father" have hints of Eric Champion and U2 (in their more recent pop project). Overall this album is an impressive step in creating worship that is capable of standing up to today's chart scene. This album will be enjoyed by anyone with a preference for dance orientated pop.
