This annual contemporary praise mix offering from Spring Harvest features new songs recorded especially by some of the UK's top contemporary worship artists including Kindle, Andy Flannagan, and one of the best of the new wave of new worship leaders, Sheffield's Gareth Robinson. As well as the new recordings there are a few tracks from excellent recent albums by Yfriday, Heat and One hundred hours. If you're into the British indie/pop scene and like bands such as Oasis, Stereophonics, U2, REM and Travis then you'll definetly enjoy this album. On the down side some of the songs do sound a tad familair despite being largely originals. Also, the album lacks a real sense of drawing the listener into the heart of worship. Overall though, 'Praise Mix 2002' is an album worth checking out if you're a indie/pop rock lover who's looking for bright new worship material.
