There has been a gap of a few years since American missionary Wulfeck, based in Grenoble, France, released his 2004 album 'Free'. This three track EP is a trailer for a forthcoming full album. Steve has been working as a worship leader and Bible teacher amongst French churches for a number of years and the first track on this mini album has French lyrics. "C'est La Vie" has a pleasant melody and competent musicianship. A jangly electric piano striking chords starts the song off as the vocal joins in and the song moves into the chorus. Steve's voice, now backed by acoustic guitar, electronic drums and keyboards, has a vocal effect added that produces a strange tremolo and echo, this unnerving effect reappearing throughout the EP. "I Will Never Leave You Lonely" has some intricate trebly lead guitar in the background of an overlong, rather repetitive, song about God's promise of redemption. No argument with the evangelical lyrical content but as the song meanders into a long guitar 'outro', it all seems rather bland and dated. "It's Alright", with a nod towards a hip-hop beat, has the rapped first line "Are you ready for this?" which unfortunately seems to promise more than is subsequently delivered.
