I have enjoyed some of their music on a Southern gospel television programme that has been going out on Saturday nights on the Inspirational TV Channel so I approached this set with expectation. The Perrys comprise of five men and the diminutive Libby who has a bubbly personality, a big voice and who provides a strong female lead. The majority of the 12 tracks are mostly new but very good songs such as "I Know It Was The Blood" and "The Potter Knows The Clay". The two older tracks are "The Holy Hills Of Heaven Call Me" written by the late Dottie Rambo, and an old Mosie Lister song "Come And Get Me". The singing is first rate and the accompaniment whilst mainly orchestral also includes steel guitar, fiddle, mandolin and banjo, so obviously as far as the States are concerned it would have some appeal to country fans as well as Southern gospel devotees. The most moving track is "Holding On To Me" co-written by the group member Joseph Habedank, dedicated to how God has brought his brothers Nathan back from the abyss of drug addiction to becoming a Christian worker. An enjoyable and, at times, moving album.
