Theresa writes on her website, "I don't identify myself as an entertainer. I feel more like an instrument, creating room for the sacred, which is foundational to our humanity and brings wholeness to our vulnerability." "Sacred", "humanity" and "vulnerability" seem to be key components when in the production of this CD. Theresa's own lyrics are honest, lovingly crafted songs about the joy she finds in Jesus, her husband ("When Morning Comes Again") her children and her community. She also adapts and incorporates poems, psalms and hymns to her music. The tunes are peaceful, simple, and reasonably recorded, blending elements of folk (there are hints of early Joni Mitchell in the vocals), acoustic guitar, serene piano and Celtic influences. Motherly wisdom comes across in songs such as "Nothing Good Is Wasted" and "Living Stones". At 14 tracks and over an hour long, it does become a bit samey but I am sure that the songs on this CD are capable of ministering to many.
