Emerging from the Florida-based Christlike Inc music ministry, Tony Gordon's debut release is perhaps as much a showcase for their production skills as it is for Tony's songwriting and performing talents. It's hard to describe this as a true solo venture, since Tony shares the lead vocal credits with an array of lead and backing singers almost as diverse as the music. Early on come some very strong female performances, first with the driving R&B groove of "Why", followed by "I'm Blessed", a fusion of soul and hip-hop on which Tony raps at the start "This one's for the young people" - so who might the rest be for? The silky-smooth gospel-ballad "God, Help!" does come as a complete contrast, and it seems that some material here may indeed be pitched at an older audience. On "Love" Josh B's mellow vocals have a hint of Stevie Wonder about them, before Tony picks up the pace again with "Miracles". Further stylistic changes soon ensue: initially into Caribbean mode for "Walk By Faith", then back to more traditional gospel stylings with "Praise Medley", on to reggae for "Christian Soldiers" and finally a return to hip-hop/gospel for "There For Me". To describe this as eclectic would be an understatement.
