Strictly dance rock integrating elements of techno, dance and even a splash of pop, Unshaken are reminiscent of Skillet in some places but more poppy. Brothers David and Jared Galligan are the core of Unshaken and one listen to this independently recorded CD makes me think that these boys are headed for something big. Surely a record deal is just around the corner. They are located in Texas which is not the first area you think of when it comes to techno grooves. Unshaken are talented enough to be able to deliver a piece of perfect pop like "Possible" with its strong melody lines and the brothers' intertwined vocals washing over the soul whilst also unleashing the forceful guitar/synth attack of "Intoxication". The furious "Take A Chance" is half rapped and half sung with a huge rocky, hooky chorus and the dance grooves continue on "Secret". Musically strong with an uncompromising Christian message, Unshaken stir up a storm on this four-track EP and I'd be mightily surprised if they weren't working on their debut label album by the end of the year.
