Sometimes we feel so cosy in our Christian faith that we can't conceive of anything that could rattle our tree and shake things up. The story behind this 2000 CD is at one and the same time harrowing and encouraging, because the young man who is Vision, Altus Boshoff, is barely out of his teens, yet has been battling cancer since March 1998. His music is full of energy and optimism, well crafted and performed, with a bevy of sessioners and singers giving good support. My favourite song on the album "Mightier" comes in two mixes; one very moody and ambient, the other with a gentle choppy synth riff, and the words seem to reflect a little of Altus' attitude to his health problems, when he sings in the chorus "God is always greater than all of the troubles we face." Well worth searching out.

This is my favourite album of all time. I grew up with Altus
and think of him every time I listen to it. He was and still
is such an inspriration to me.
