Don't believe everything you hear:

Todd Bentley is certainly a controversial figure, whose teachings run counter to many Biblical teachings...

For anyone who has any inkling that this is of the Lord, take a look at the link below. It's a transcript of one of his videos, and the video is linked at the bottom of the page.

I challenge *anyone* to come up with a Biblical justification for such behaviour. There is also a mountain of other such stuff on the same site.

If only false prophets were always so easy to spot.

The tragedy is that the spiritual state of the church is *so* bad that thousands, probably millions, are being taken in by this guy and his cronies.

Sorry to sound harsh and uncompromising, but hey, so was Paul when it came to false teachers.

Jon.

PS. It was for lack of discernment like this that I stopped supporting CR a while back. If the (admittedly ex-) CEO is supporting this dangerous heretic then I want nothing to do with it.

Someone wanted some proof of the 'Revival' being unbibical.

Here's a link to plenty of material regarding Mr Bentley and Co.

Not one to dismiss these things but...

from what I've seen there's much more emphasis on experience and healing than there is on Jesus, Salvation, and no real Biblical framework.

And since when was God's Spirit limited by geography? Why are people encouaraged to fly to Florida to receive their healing? What is this about taking the fire back to Plymouth? God is in Plymouth already. He always has been!

Please re-read what I said. I did not criticise. I expressed some concerns. I am pleased to read that there is teaching, but what is the non-Christian viewer to make of the programming which only shows the one aspect? I did not dismiss this as some others have. That's not my job to judge.

If you are watching the God TV sessions then you will only see the evening healing meeting. They do hold, so I'm led to believe, teaching meetings in the morning which are not transmitted. At these morning meetings they do teach about Jesus, sins and repentance etc.

I have a fridge magnet that says...

Before you crisize a person walk a mile in his shoes, then when critisize you are a mile away and have his shoes......

God has always been specific about where and when he does things. That's all over the bible. When he poured out his spirit on the disciples, it was only to the people in the upper room. That doesn't mean God wasn't working anywhere else, but he chose to pour out his spirit on the upper room, just like he has chosen a small area of Florida to start a revival.

I understand there is more emphasis on experience, but that's because experiences like this come only so often. I myself have never participated in a revival at this stature. So if I go to Florida, I would be going for the experience of healing, prophecy, and the Holy Spirit. I would not necesarilly go for the teaching. Just to be honest. This is a biblically rooted man with great knowledge and teaching, and a church that has prayed for this for years. Can't you be happy that God is moving in their region, rather than criticise?

Thank God that He is moving in signs and wonders.
We are so thirsty for God's spirit to come in power in Germany.

I look forward to the day when the dead will rise,
I'm so glad I can use that phrase about the times we live in right now! Praise God.

I have just been watching Todd Bentley on the God Channel and it is shocking to see the way vulnerable people are being told they have been healed when there is really no evidence of it. Shocking and also rather bizzare.

SHOW me one authenticated healing...i.e. where a medical diagnosis was made prior to the "healing". if youve seen the bentley show, you will notice many of the people receiving healings have back problems, fibromyalgia, partial deafness...all things which can seem to get better thru an hysterical belief that they are being helped. show me a quadraplegic who is healed...it wont happen.

I'm excited about revival--just read "Preparing for Revival."

The medically authenticated miracles will really stir people up. Is there a website by doctors or medical professionals verifying the miracles. This would help squelch nay-sayers.

Chris, I'm also interested in your personal medical miracle testimony regarding the acute bronchitis. Did it just dissolve instantly?

Praise God for His goodness...Rick Leland

Chris wanted me to let you know that he is out and about and doing well and that the cough is going.
