I was so sad to hear that Janny has left us. I will always love her! Her music brought me strength and hope when I was was down. I was blessed to hear her in person and receive her and her Husband's ministry. I love you Janny! You have made Heaven more precious and I so look forward to seeing you there!!!

Janny's been my favorite singer since I was about 16 in high school. I fell in love with almost every track she produced. Very inspiring and pregnant with the Word. A champion indeed. Never had a chance to meet her in person here on earth, but sure, when I get to heaven, after I see my Savior, she'll be one of the first lot I'm looking forward to meet. I'm so glad I WILL meet her too.

I met Janny at a little tiny church in my town when I was about 16 or so... it was my first experience with a band and electric guitar... let alone in a church. I went up to meet her afterward and stammered over every word. She gave me the biggest hug and a tape of her like the wind album. My mom bought some of her earlier records and I think I about wore my tape out. What a beautiful, precious woman with a heart to reach everyone, even a clumsy teenager who didn't fit in anywhere. Today I'm really enjoying hearing the older songs again. I sure miss her here with us, and I cannot wait to see her again one day. Thanks for your article. I wish her songs could be redone all over again. Love them forever.

Hope to encourage someone. I wrote this on one of her sites before, so you might have read it.
I was at a christian school, many yrs. ago, (very down hearted and on drugs). Janny along with God, inspired me to move on with the Lord. In between a song, there was silence, I saw a big hand sowing up a heart. When she started singing, the song was about a God sowing up a heart.
To this day I don't know what song it was, and if she even recorded that song. Does anyone know what the song is, and where I might find it? I am 55 yrs. old and I need God again. me

Hello Suzette, I read of Janny passing, and it's Easter Sunday, 2012. Where have I've been? I wish I could go back twenty years, when I met her at my church, Pelham Cristian Fellowship, (outside of Birmingham, Al.)
I'm heading back to the Lord, I have to forgive myself for a multitude of sins, I know HE has! I hope is well with you, and thanks for posting, Don.

Hello. Thank you for your wonderful tribute to Janny. I have known her personally for 22 years. She was like a Mom to me. This Earth has lost a wonderful woman of God..a wonderful minister, who preached what she lived. She touched my life in a special way. She left me a wonderful example. She knew who she was in Christ, and lived strong.

At one time I had Janny Grine's album "Covenant Woman" and lately was trying to remember the lyrics of one of the songs. The gist of the song is found in Deuteronomy 28. Some of the lyrics are"Blessings when you're coming in, blessings when you're going out." It tells if you will hearken to the voice of the Lord, faithful to obey all all His commandments, He will set you above all other nations and all of these blessings will overtake you. Then it talks about all of the blessings that the Lord will bestow upon you if you obey Him. It is a beautiful song and I have been trying all morning to find it on the net. I would love to share it with our ladies prayer group so that they too will be blessed. I love Janny's music and am so sorry to hear that she was struggling with cancer. She will be missed but her music will live forever. -- Sharen

I am shocked to learn of Jannys passing. It was sometime in August that the lord brought to rememberance to me one of her songs. It was all of my heart. I could nevr figure it out why God did this as i kept singing it over and over as it drew my even closer to Him. I now see that He was letting me know she passed. My heartfelt concern goes to her family. I have also lost a loved one to cancer and know the emptiness that comes with it. I have vivid memories of her as she sang at Higher Ground Ministries in Garder Mass in 1992. Thank You Janny for those Memories and your love of God. I miss you and will see you in heaven. Wayne

Thinking of you and your soothing and annointed, inspiring and strengthening songs of which I listen to time and again.. remembering the meetings here and Tampa with you and Bill ,I was led to this info today.
I rejoice in fact that your pain is over and all your questions are answered as you look upon His face....

I just lost my Mom three days ago and was looking to order some Janny music as it has always touched me and filled me with God's love like no other. So, here I sit crying. But I know I will see her and hear her for eternity soon, as well as my beautiful Mother. Love and prayers to her family and music family.
