I grew up in the Augusta, Ga area and every time
they came to the area I made sure I went to see them perform. I'm still playing their music.

Please do anyone know the words to I Am Waiting for My Child to Come Home. I have been searching all over for these lyrics. I remember my mother use to sing it when I was a little girl. It was hard trying to find out who song that song now that I know I just need the lyrics. I would be more than happy it means would be reliving my mothers past.

Thank You

SOMEWHERE AROUND GOD'S THRONE

Oh I went to the house where I used to live
The grass had grown up and covered the door
When someone across the street said "Who do you seek?”
For no one, no one lives there anymore

Chorus

They are somewhere around the throne of God
They are somewhere around the throne of God
But I'll keep searching and searching and one day I will find
Them somewhere around God's throne

Then I went to the church where I used to go
The preacher was still there and He met me at the door
He said, "I know who you are, and I know who you're searching for
Oh but they don't, they don't come here anymore"

I went on down the road to my mother's dearest friend
She met me at the door, she asked me to come in
She said I was by your mother's bedside, when the doctor shook his head
And now she's somewhere around God's throne

Chorus
Tag
Yes there somewhere around God's throne

Songs and music by the Consolers bring us back to basics. I too, as many others, grew up hearing the distinct and unique voices of Sullivan and Iola Pugh of Florida. They were great then, and are even greater today, because we truly do understand the significance of their work. The words of their songs, in great part, has caused me to re-think my life, and re-dedicate my self to the service of the Lord!

Thank God for the Pughs, and may God continue to bless others who listen to the words of their songs; as the work they've done continues to speak for them!

I was lucky enough to find "Lord Bring Me Down" at a record store three or four years ago. It is a regular part of my listening and devotional time. It brings back memories of when I heard them (and other wonderful gospel artists)on the radio. This recording is like gold to me. I use it to keep me centered and focussed on what is important in this life.

Hello, I am in the process of getting an album with the song on it, "May The Work I've Done", made into a CD. Once I get the CD from the company that's doing this for me, I'll glady send you a copy. As for where to find the words of the song, I would suggest going to www.google.com and typing in the first line of the song, then typing the word 'lyrics'. Please keep in touch. God bless.
