I E-mailed Jimmy Owens to get a CD of Come Together as I have very fond memories of this album. My parents used to play it lots when I was a kid! Although I have not heard the album for years, I still remember a lot of the songs. Very catchy lyrics and music!
Paid $16 by PayPal, inc shipping to the UK.
Jimmy posted it within a day of payment and I am now looking forward to receiving it!

I sang in a west London youth choir doing 'Come Together' on a number on a number of occasions. I've had 'May I introduce you to a Friend' going round my head lately and would love to get a CD. I think I still have the LP (with Pat Boone) somewhere.

I also have fond childhood memories of 'Come Together'. Even though i was only 6 or 7 when i first heard it, ( my parents had the record and were involved in a church performance of it), it was key in my young experience of worship to God.( i can still remember most of the words!)
I would love to be involved in a performance of it! I believe it has a lot to offer the church today.
I did contact the Owens and they said that they can do individual copies onto cd of 'Come together' for $13.(not sure of shipping costs).

Hi, I'm sure that somehow we can get copyright permission, even if a royalty payment was made to Jimmy and Carol plus the recod company. The key is to establish if anyone has a clean record of Come Together and also under what label it was published.

I have sheet music and I think the tapes for Come Together, If My People and Witness somewhere, having performed them all in London back in the late 70s.
Not sure how easily I can put my hands on them but if anyone is desperate I will have a look and see if I can find them.

Hi Jon - it certainly looks as if lots of potential use for Come Together in UK! I have great memories of it the first time round when I was in Bury St Edmunds.
I am keen to introduce it to West Swindon Partnership of Churches for the 'Back to Church Sunday' campaign. The theme song has relevance for Christians who have become semi-detached from Jesus' family... and I'd be interested to see what others think. (PS if no one has claimed your copy and you are still willing to part with it, please can I?)

I remember seeing the Come Together musical program on TV back when i was in High School. It had Pat Boone in it. I would like to be able to purchase a CD of it. Our church youth pastor had the 33 RPM record of it back then.
