With President Trump upping the ante concerning the whole debate around immigration, this powerful hip-hop single by two skilled US rappers comes at a good time. San Diego-based Skrillz described "Alright" as "a journey through the eyes of a Latino artist determined to push through adversity in a country that struggles to embrace its own diversity". Skrillz went on to say how he wanted his music "to give my people hope and remind them that our success and happiness is not dependent on the acceptance of a society struggling to understand itself." With this powerful proclamation, he has done just that.
