"God wants us to have fun with art." So says Jonathan Veira, a big man with a big voice. And if you thought "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and "Jesus Loves Me" were only for Sunday School children, listen again. Veira's great operatic bass baritone swells over the gospel underlay, ably provided by Miriam Stockley (Adiemus), Mike Haughton (Iona) and Dave Cooke amongst others. He can funk it up too. All in all, a class act, and if I were still playing disks on a late night inspirational show, this CD would definitely be on my playlist.
