South Carolina-born singer/songwriter Laura has, of course, already won awards and accolades in the US for her exceptional songwriting. On her latest album she combines songs suitable for congregational worship with those of a more personal, reflective nature. The opening "There Is A Kingdom" is a particular favourite, with a steady build through the verses to the climax "Church arise and sing for the joy, sing for the joy we've found." Clear vocals and sensitive music make this song come alive. The title track, more reflective in content, though just as upbeat in feel, consists of short, personal stories of hardship, with God reaching down and a reminder that "His ways are higher than we could ever comprehend". Laura's appealing voice easily handles "He Will Not Let Go" and "There Is A Kingdom", despite their difference in tone with "He Will Not Let Go" being a quieter promise of God's faithful presence. Smoothly produced by Ed Cash (Chris Tomlin, Kari Jobe), 'God Of Every Story' is an uplifting and beautiful album.

Product Description
In this third album Laura shows spiritual vulnerability and personal honesty. Lyrically, she draws on personal experience from her own life. Her husband's brain tumour early in their marriage led the young family down a painful path she wouldn't have chosen, but one that deepened her faith and her music. The resulting songs show God's love and grace intersecting with life. The album is a wonderful reminder that despite our questions or circumstances, God is the ultimate author of our story.
