Very sorry to hear about the passing of "slim"...However we as saints of God do not weep as those who have no hope....He constantly ministered in song of the importance of living a life pleasing to God, that one day we will enjoy the reward of serving him.....and now "slim is resting in the presence of the Lord....Have a sweet rest "Slim".

Slim is missed not just by fans but also his family. We love his music and love him and the family. He is there in GLORY with his parents, siblings (my dad), and other relatives, and friends. Hold on GOD is with you.

I just found out about Slim's death via www.glorylandgospel.com and I fell out of my chair because there are no mention of this here in the south. I will truely miss him and his singing, but he left so many sangs here so he can not be forgettin. I remember meeting him face to face when he made one of his many trips here to Miami. I remember how nice he was and how welcoming he was. I remember singing a song of his and couldn't figure out the reason why. I could not shake the song aloose which was "It won't be this way always". Now that I think about it it was around the time he passed away. He will truely be missed. Love ya much.

Slim was my uncle and I learned a lot about life and serving God on a consistent basis. Slim showed me what it means to be a Christian. When I struggle with things I think of him and how far he had come along. He was always a generous man and would help anyone in need. I'll definitely miss him and his inspiring music...Uncle Howard I love you much!

Slime will be missed very much. Although I have not seen him since I was a little girl @ the programs with my father Larry Young I still rememeber him and loved him to death.

The Slim man, I grew up listen to Slims songs as a child, with the likes of Willie Neal Johnson and the Gospel Keynotes. Like Willie, Slim was one of a kind also, and their will never be another like him. I love that song Miracle and Gods Got It, my little Daughter loves singing that song Gods Got it. Like me as a child, its a blessing that my own child heard Slim and his groups records. I heard the group just last month in Florence SC, and it was just powerful, they singed there hearts out, Rev Hunt would of been proud. I will see you Slim Over Younder
