My family have been traveling to gospel programs ever since I was a baby and I am soon to be 29 yrs old... I remember when I first saw Slim, he came out in the "cape" and anytime we went to a program I would always ask my mom, "Is "The Cape" man gonna be there" because at the time I didn't know the name of the group.. Over the years, I have been truly blessed by Slim's ministry...Days when I was down, I would just pop in a tape and listen to him, Scotty, Greg, Sugar and all and my spirits would just lift up...I tell you the 2 songs that always made me smile but they were true was 1) "If You Trust A Snake", and 2) "People Don't Do"..."Stay Under The Blood" and "He Is Lord", made me just go into a worship..I cried when my mom called me and told me he passed...I just didn't wanna believe we lost yet another great gospel singer...Slim truly was a Man of God and it showed through his music... He was unique and different with his style but yet effective...I know many souls were saved behind his ministry...I thank Slim for being apart of my life as well as my families and even today his music still lives on in our hearts..My prayers go out to his family and to the group The Supreme Angels, that they will carry on with the ministry that was charged on their lives and even though Slim may not be here in the physical, he will alway be here in spirit...God Bless you all....

I have had the chance to ride across the country with the supreme angels since i was about 3 or 4 years old.My dad has been a member since the early 80s and i was taught alot of things by rev that has made me who i am today. He has shown me how to be about my fathers business and how to be a business man.I learned alot about the road from him. HE would always tell me not to follow some of the things that the quartet singers did,he felt that the groups that came before us younger groups did not set good examples for the next generation of singers.I think he was one of those who did .he didnt believe in puttin on a show, he believed in saving souls first.thanks 4 everything REV i will always remember you and your name will live on 4 generations to come my children and there chidrens children will know about slim and the supreme angels.stay up pop, rice, quick, uncle suge love you guys.

I just found out through a friend that Mr. Slim died. I was a fan of the supreme angels. Yes, he will be surely missed. I had just brought his last album a few months ago, and it was okay. I really like the album that he made when the supreme angels were in Atlanta, Ga, you know the one where they were on the cover wearing the blue suits. That is a great album I encourage anyone to get it if you do not have it. Well I hope to see Mr. Slim on the other side. RIP Slim may you forever sing over yonder

God Bless the Hunt family and also The Supreme Angels and keep your head up and carry on just as if Slim were still here. I loved his music ewven though im 18 and. My brothers and I have a quartet group of our own really a family group called The Hodges Family. We did a few of his songs, especially before Greg had left to start his own group because they came up here and did a concert and we were on it with them. I just want to say that Slim was a great man and always preached and encouraged people. I do the same when im singing. I let them know whatever their going tthrough to stay with God. May Heaven smile upon the Supreme Anegls, remember "the worst is over, but the best is yet to come."
