By now all but the most discographic minded of our readers will have lost track of this seemingly endless series of albums. What happens is producer Keith Lancaster assembles a bunch of anonymous session singers and gets them to sing a set of songs with some vague theme (Spirituals, Children's, etc, etc). This one, 'Classics', is not Beethoven, Brahms et al (to get acappella renditions of those you will need the series' 'Classycal' album) but slick no backing renditions of big CCM hits like Amy Grant's 'Thy Word' or Rich Mullins 'Awesome God'. Entirely dispensable unless you still haven't had enough of the dozens of acappella albums flooding the CCM racks these past few years.
