I don't suppose I'll ever get the chance but I'd like to have a word with producer Keith Lancaster and ask him how he's managed to persuade Word Inc to accept his veritable deluge of cheaply produced albums. He's got two acappella groups on the go, Acappella and AVB, he's done his own album and now he's put together this Acappella Series to milk every last sale from the acappella sales boom in Christian music. Presumably (and hopefully) we Brits aren't going to get the other albums in this series (including a set of songs about America and a Christmas album) and we're never going to learn who precisely is singing on this. It's adequate in harmonies, Lancaster's use of the effects rack on the voices is irritatingly unnecessary and most of the songs - Lancaster compositions - have not the slightest country tinge to them. The playing time (31 mins, 39 sees) is miserly too.
